SOLID CHARGE LIST
AGAINST GEORGE ALLEN.
At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday in Wellington,' George Allen alias Richardson, who recently disappeared from Masterton, was charged as follows: —With having, at Wellington., on June 7th, 1912, forged the name of G. D. Dodson to a cheque for £8 10s 6d, and uttered the I same to Charles" George Rhimes; at ton,, on April 6th, 1912, forged the" name of Alexander McLeod to a cheque for £lO 15s; at Mastertorv on April 10th, 1912, forged the name of Alexander McLeod to a cheque 'foe £ll ; at Wanganui, on May 27th, 1915?, forged the name of W. F. Mcßetii to a cheque for £l2 10s. Allen was also charged with having failed to appear at the Supreme Court, Wellington, on May 6. to plead to an indictment of forgery. Sub-Inspector Sheehan asked for J, remand for a week. He said that, probably, a further remand till June 19th would then be asked for. The remand was granted.
