A good audience wus present at the Mastcr-ton Town Hall on Saturday evening, to witness tie final production of ithe great Au&trailcan drama, "A Daughter of Arustralta," and the series of gem pictares screened by the Masteaton Picture Company. <"A. •DaughktP of Australia" was received with prolonged applause, which clearly indicated the, pqplhrity of the . film. Thetfariotos stages,of. the. piece.wer ; c. portrayed with wonderful clearness, and the*dramatic'powAr of :l'he drama hold the. dritorest.pf the audience to ithe last act.. The various dramas, •scenies aind comics made up a proigranraie of'general excellence, and eniiramcing interest, the applause and ■enthusieam, of those present vouching •for; .the high quality of the entire pro■gramme. To-inight' the management will present the famous drama, "Ten •Night? in a Bar Room." This will •be the first occasion on which a Mas-tet-ton audience'will have the pleasure <of witnessing this triumph of eineirfa'tograiphic aflb. The. piece is a tariffing one from first to Wist, and dhows tsceries (that are 60 true to life that it must be regarded as one of the greatest picture dramas of the Resent time. The story portriays with mar♦yellows and realistic vividness the 'downfall of iai whole /amily through to free a use. of ■spirituous liquors.
