ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
.The proposal, of. the Masterton A. ; and. P. Associationi that a Royal Agricultural Society be formed in New Zeafa'ndt, has not''been as favourably re-' ceived as it should have been. There seems to be an impression in the mind? of some people that the idea is to institute a Royal Show in. the Dominion.' Although this/snay be the uJti-' matey, goal of the promoters of, the movement, dt is> fair to say that in the meantime such a project is not being considered. The idea is to establish an institutidn ifb which the iwcfivaduial Associations could appeal', and which would, exercise a general siupervHisibn ovar matters agricultural and pastoral. It ie difficult stand (how opposition could be raised to an institution of this kind. '.
