ROOSEVELT AND TAFT HONOURS EVEN. (Received Last Night, 9 o'clock.) NEW YORK, June t. As a. result of the Primaries so far taken, Messrs Roosefelt and Taft are evenly matched for tho Presidency. The vital struggle is about to begin. Mr Roosevelt's supporters claii" that ns the, primaries have given a majority of the: Republican votes in the north, to Mr Roosevelt, it would be grossly unfair if Mr Taft secured nomination by his control of delegates representing effete Republican organisations im the Democratic south. Mr Taft\s supporters reply that the norther.n< vote is rot so great as Mr Roosevelt's sensational victories would lead peoplo to suppose, and they claim that there are enough of the aninstructcd delegates to give Mr Taft ;\ victory. Tho Democratic campaign has not yet reached <"• vit.nl st^ge. Mr Clarke- Steel leads Mr Wilson ay 110 delegates.
