The Masterton Borough Council is '.taking a step in the right direction "in inaugurating a movement for the beautifying of 'the, town. There are many spots in the '-'Borough which., at oio great expense could be made attractive. The Bark is now being got 'into decent order; the streets are wellkept ; the puMic 'buildings are becoming an ornament; and attention should mow be paid itio the vacant, spaces.
