UNITED LABOUR PARTY.
Speaking at Ta.ih.ape the other evening, -the Hon. G. Fowlds stated that the idea of the United Labour Painty wais. not that of a party confined to rniaiitiaff labour. The Party chimi-ed tfliat any individual rendering any use>fml (service ought to ,be with them. Very well. Are not the land-owners, and merchants, and capitalists 'rendering useful service P If it-hey are, why should they mot identify themselves with the (Labour Party ? The Reform Party is ireiMering excellent service to the State. Then it should also join forces with the United Labourites. There are few, indeed, among us who are not .rendeiirig useful service in onb form or anratllieir. Is t not right and proper, therefore, that we should all belong to the United Labour Party? And,, as the majority must rule, Mr Massey will 'automatically become leader of the party.
