The .Mowing reply was telegraphed to the Progressive As--sociaitkwi:—

"Regret owing to short notice unable to send deputation (from MaisterIton Ohamtfer of Commerce to support you'r deputation urging that Napier train;, be run through the' Wairarapa. We strongly support proposal :r> -put beifore- the Minister by this Cham ber.— J. C. Boddington, Secretary.'
