AN INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION
THE SIMPLEX MILK RELEASER.' An interesting demonstration of the working cf -a patent milk releaser was given yesterday afternoon iby Messrs Donald ar.d .Sods, agents for the Simplex Milking Machine. The .trial took place at Mr D. Donald's farm, near the Master bora dairy .factory, with the Simplex plant at present being used by Mr W, Lett, A, number of settlers 'were present, and the operations were supervised by Mr C. 'iH. Davie, of Wanganui, patentee and. district, engineer for. the Simplex Company and for iM<js&r&V]?6i^^^ leaser.is a; machine designed to carry milk direct from the cows to the Sep- J ara.tor. It consists of a shallow can resting on another, and .fitted with' two floats, and the inflow Of milk mani-tpifl-a'tes <the floats, which -:lose the valves. The contrivance is absolutely stationary, "and there is no danger of the milk getting into the system and contaminating the pipes. The whole thing canlbe -taken to pieces and cleaned within ten minutes, and there are •practically »o working parts tio get out of order. The patentee claims ithat the device is simple, inexpensive, and easily cleaned. The main features of the Releaser are that it saves continual .'carrying in the emptying of 'buckets,' by this means lessening the' labour, and in the Jarger plants saving . the price of a man's wages. ..,.,.
