CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

WELCOME TO REV. T. C. BUTLER The members of the Masterton Congregational! Church wore present in large numbers at the church last evening, to offer a welcome to the Rev T. G. Butler and Mrs Butler to Masterton, and the gathering was marked by the utmost enthusiasm on the part of all present. The ohair was occupied by the Rev. J. Reed Glasson, who referred in glowing terms to the new Congregational Minister, and he was quite' sure that the newcomer - would j •lo excellent work in furthering the welfare of hi® panshioners. Mastertart people are to be congratulated on getting .such a, man amongst them. The induction .service was coiducted by the Rev. A. Mac Donald Aspland,' who, in a striking address, referred to the .many qualities of the now Congregation* -minister, and he was .confident that the wotk of the church was in capable hands when in charge of Mr Butler. He predicted a peroid of earnest and fruitful work, •and a bright time ahead for the Masterton Congregational Ohurc.fr. Mr O. N. O. Bragnell, secretary of the Church, also spoke, and- eaid that 'from; what they, already • knew, .of.. During the -evening amthems were rendered hy the choir, and several solos were sung by members, and Hvere much appreciated.
