FRUIT-GROWING.
The Masterton. Chamber of Commerce recently investigated the fruit industry, and arrived at the conclusion ■ that there was no reason why it should not be successfully established, in this district. It ,i,s satisfactory to note that, following this investigation, a syndicate has been formed to put twenty-six acres near the town .under fruit. Tliis an ay be regarded as only a beiginming; ibuit tlie result of the experiment will he watched with absorbing interest. -The potentialities of this fertile district are only just being discovered;. When they' are fully applreeiat&d, the advancement on all sides will be nhencsmenal.
