ENGLISH PIERROTS. An exceptional attraction will b& I introduced to Masterton on Monday ;noxt, when the original English. Pierrots—who made a favourable impression on tho music-loving public of Wellington during the run of the Industrial Exhibition last year. This company of diinc performers has been in existence for the last eiglit years, giving regular sea sons-at their Pavilion,. Melbourne.' The combination is under the direction of Messrs W. and R. v Thomas and Maynard Dakin. ! Mr Dakin is the comedian of the company, ~ with which he has been associated for * many years, and comes with a reputation from the leading halls of England, including the Empire and London Pavilion, and has also been an entertainer of dong-standing in the English concert world. He is a possessor of a large number of entirely original musical numbers, and novelties. Since? their last appearance in New Zealand, the company has been materially strengthened, and during the six months' season in Melbourne just concluded have received very flattering: notices from tlho press. Mr Maynanl Dakin, still the leading comedian, has greatly added to his .repertoire of musical sketches, songs, etc, which have been specially written by him for this company, and are or-ly performed by the English Pierrots. Over 400-new items were presented during the Melbourne season. Mr Roy Cooke (bass) and Miss Nellie Holden (soprano) are additional members of the company since their last visit to New ZealandThe box plan is at the Dresden.,
