It wiasdecided that ins the employees d the 'Borough were receiving suitable pay, the question did not affect the Council. A. letter received from_ the Ma&ter,trin Emplovers' Association in reference ito the weekly half holiday was left over until next meeting, when Or D.ona.ld ds hyi'nging forward a proposal in connection) with the matter. He was against entering' into any agreement with the .merchants. Or O'Leary moved that the request of the men'oliaints Ito raise the price of coal he not granted. Or Elliott iseccnded the motion, which was da^ied.
