THE BOYCOTT.
The miners of the West Coast are pursuing ,a dangerous course in resolving to boycott all tradespeople who do not advertise in>. their official ■ paper. There is such a thing as reprisals, and it .may Qiappe'iii that .the remaining section of the community may withdraw their support from those tradespeople Vwho do advertise. The position will Ithen become intolerable. The miners liave every right to publish a newspaper, if they feel so dii.spo.sed. They have no shadow of right, howeveir, to nifctempt to coerce peop'e to either buy or advertise in such a paiper. If these tactics fare pursued, there is no telling •where the thing will end.
