AN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE.
The Masterton Trust Lands Trustees, as a body, will doubtless give early consideration to the question of devoting a considerable portion o'f their income Ito endowing a fixed institution, Siiich as an Agricultural .College, instead of spending it in dribs and drabs, as at prcoent. In an inten-view a week or two back wit.lv the Prime Minister and Minister for Education, tihe writer of this article ascertained that the quotation of establishing agricultural college* was seriously, contemplated, but that nothing could be done in this direction until Parliament meets. It is morally certain that, whether .Mr Mackenzie or Mr Massey eecureis the permanent reins of office, the question of agricultural colleges will be faced in the near future. Having this prospect in view, the Trust Lauds Trustees should be ready to join with a general movement to press home the claims or this part of the Dominion when the psychological moanetat arrives.
