"EVERYWOMAN'S" VIEWS.
In an interview at Dunedin, referring to female suffrage, Miss Hilda Spong eaicl she regretted that New Zealand was run so much by women. "{ am not an advocate of women's suffrage " she said, "and think women could do very much better by looking after their homes than, by getting into politics. I am not an advocate of drinking by any means; but from my own personal experience since my arrival Jiere I have com c to the conclusion that prohibition, instead of diminishing drunkenness, h:;i« n tendency to increase it, and above all things no-
cammodation in prohibition centres is very bad. Woman can do so much by •her influence to improve the conditions in a eounbry like tins without dabbling in politics, and I tlhink it a great pity that they do not realise it."
