NATIONAL REGIMENTS ABOLISHED. (Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, May 15. Regulations under the universal training scheme, under which the first batch of 10,000 Senior Cadets will k* drafted onto tho military forces on July Ist, havo been published. Tho regulations also cover the reorganisatSoh of the existing Infantry and Light Horso Brigades. The National Regiments—English, Scottish and IrifJh —in the various States will disappear, the members being embodied in forces in newly-created battalion areas. Provision is made for the immediate creation of four new batteries of field artillery.
