Hehcntan, who 'has recently ' iretumed from; a visit to India). The • chair was occupied 1 by M.r A. Hendry, •wiho" extended, a hearty welcome to Mr' EPebemton'. The speaker briefly outlined the fjositicn and progress cif Christianity --an India, and' spoke of jtthe great faith it-he -Hindus lha.d in re'.tigion. He also started his views as regards the misisionary work now in progress amongst the Natives, and expressed the opiriioa that the missionary wlio_ will succeed < is the one wftlo wi'l'l mix among tlie with a* training that will dio good amongst the sick.
