CH RISTCHURCH, Last Night, A deputation, introduced by Mr R. J! caton Rhodes, member for Ellesmere, •waited upon. the Hon. H. G. Ell this morning, in regard to tiho re"cent increase in. the charges for long distance telephones. Mr Ell explained that "the increase (had been made \be<kuiso the old 1 rates did not pay the Department, With regard to the in<re.iise being m'ade retrospective, he promised to look into this 'aspect of the question!.
