INTO A MOTOR CAR FATALITY

AUCKLAND, Last Night
The inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Jeannie Prowse, w.bo was killed by a motor car at Remuera. on March Bth, was commenced yesterday, and was concluded 10-day. ,
A great deal of evidence was taken and the jury returned a verdict that death was due to shock, following on injuries caused by impact with a motor car, and that deceased met her death •accidentally, through an error of judgment on the part of the driver, and added tho following rider: . "Hie jury desire to call the attention of tho Government to tho evidence of Mr John Beveridgc Lindsay, Traffic Inspector for Auckland, they being distinctly of opinion that every person'driving a mptor-car in public 'highways .should bo a. holder of a certificate of competency."
