Masterton has generally fear regarded as a well'-isitu-afced tfown and irb is no doubt deserving of encfeanCu-mrs, but with tint? work which aa energetic Com.mii,ttee might do, the town could be greatly (improved, and we are quite sure that if the matter -were put ibefore the citizens, .monetary assistance would be forthcoming, just as lib has lin ether towns. The Borough of Waiigjan-ui is a case in point, wh-cire isplendiidl work has ! been done by the Beautifying .Society,, who Iby their efforts have turned unsightly spots, into pleasant ;places of retreat.
