One of the most healthy signs for the future., so far as the Wairarapa district Is concerned, is the interest which is being manifested by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce in the means of transit to and 'from the city. For-.years the Wairarapa has been struggling againist .adverse railway condlitions. It has sought "for redress of its grievances, but this redress lias not been forthcoming because there has been no concerted pressure 'brought, to bear by town and country. Once Wellington realises that its commercial future depends upon its'clcse relations with the sumrounding territory, the common interest is bound to amipro ve.
