NEW YORK, May 2.
The Massachussctts Republicans bave selected President Taft on the Stato preferential ballot, but at the same time have selected an entire State, delegation at large, favouring Mr Theodore Roosevelt. The situation is unparalleled in the historv of tho United States. Mr Roosevelt, when asked for his opinion, stated that he favoured the delegation voting in President Taft's favour as an equitable solution of the difficulty.
