URALLA SHOOTING CASE
HANDCOCK GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER. (Received April 30, 0.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 30. At the ferial of Alexander Handcock, dharged, witli shooting Emanuel Con sett Polsen, at Uralla, on 10th February, accused, in. liis defence, stated that Polsen- followed farm round the town. He was- very frightened of 'him at the time. of the fihotfting. Polsen and accused had ibeen paying attention to tlie same girl., and a.quarrrf between them ar'ose out of jealousy. The shot- was fired ait close range, and 'hit Polsen in the ieft temple. He was taken to a hospital, where <lie died shortly after admittance. Handcock escaped to the -busli, 'but ivas subsequently arrested.)
