MASTERTON PICTURE COMPANY.
The Masterton 'Picture Company will give a free public entertainment in the Town Hall/this evening, when a selected prog.ra.mimc will, be presented. -Music will be provided-by Mr H. Inns' orchestra. . To-morrow .evening the great passionate and modern drama, "The Rose Rouge" (the Red Rose) will be shown for a first time in iNew Zealand. This film, which is 3000 feet in length, has been specially selected for the Masterton Picture Company, and will provide a revelation in the art of kinematography. The "Red■•Rose" i& a modern drama wfliich lias the violence of a "tragedy, and has been ad.mira.bly interpreted by Mad' ame Cleo Tarleiini and M. Alberto Cepozzi. It drives the public into fits of spasmodic emotion. It develops .impressive truths concerning tdie Apache, who gives liis head to the executioner for a flower. Among the attractive features of tiho drama will be a dance of Apaches, supper at the Grand Hotel, a trip to the taverns of M'ontenare, etc. The whole will form am intensely exciting and passionate reproduction, of thrilling incidents in: French life'. Apart from this great film, the programme will include a -number of scenic, industrial and humorous .items. The prices of admission are popular.
