AGRICULTURAL INSTRUCTION.
In/ the .coots© of. nn address at the opening of the Technical School at Woodville,' the Hon. J. A. H'an'an, Minister for Education,, stated that tho question of agricultural instruction was one of great moment to the , Dominion. In this connection it i& pleasing <U) note that the Prim© Minister has- given an undertaking to bring 'before I'ivrh'ameait a proposal for the establishment of Agricultural -Colleges in suitable localities. A proposal of this sort would most certainly receive the eupport of <the ißeform Party. Indeed, Mr Massey is probably even more pronounced upon the subject than the Prime Minister. It is little r ; Biort of .a scandal that, .of- the million of anoiipy expended every year nvpon education in/ this country, not a penny is spent in imparting instruction in tho higher .branches of agriculture.
