PROVIDENTIAL ESCAPE
OF A NEW ZEALANDER

CHRISTOHURCfH, Last Night. : ' Among tho very few who had a providential escape from" the Titanic tragedy was M. J. Frostick, of Messrs Skelbon, Frostick and Co., of Christchurch. Mi- Frostick is at the present time on am extended . tour ahroad. It was his intention after visiting England, to go across to the States. He booked a passage hy the Titanic, but on account of business engagomanits he cancelled it. AVheu the news came first to hand that the big linesr had foundered, it was thought by Mr Fiiostick's relatives and friends here that he was on hoard. Yesterday, however, there came a reassuring cahle from Mr Frostick liimself from London, stating tiliatt he had found it necessary to wait for another boat, and so had missed the tragedy. The-receipt of ihis cable came quite ■as a relief to those more closely associated with Mr Frostick.
