ASHBURTON, Last Sight. Sir Joseph Ward passed 'through Ash bur ton by the mid-day ' e::pr;r.£, and received a hearty reception by the crowd at the station, wflio cheered lustily. After iihe Mayor had tendered a welcome from the people of Ajshbiirton, Sir Joseph Ward acknowledged the compliment, and assured them that he was not down, and had no intention of going out'of politics, and hoped again to take an active part in Dominion affairs.
