HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE BOARD
FINANCE COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Finance',Committee of" the Waiuarapla. Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon. There were present,— Messrs E. G. Eton (chairman).,. D. J.' Cameron, J. O. JEwington and W. Fisher.
The treasurer's report showed the state of the different accounts to be as follows: Distribution of balances: Ordinary maintenance account,'or., £212 4s 8d; capital fund account, ex., £1164 8s 4d; District Nurse account, ct., £845 Is 3d; Martiniborough. Ambulance account, cr., £l5O 17s 3d; St. John Ambulance account, cr., £1 12s lid. —Total, £2374 4s sd. It wa-s explained that the matter of the proposed nurse's home at the SVOasterfon Hospital had been .dealt with by the Hcspital Committee at their meeting.in.the morning.., ~. Messrs H. A. Jones, and M. R. VarnHairi submitted sketch plans of la'-.building designed to suit the requirements of the Board. After discussion, it was resolved that Mr Vamham's plan be forwarded fot- the approval of the Minister, aaid as eoon as this is obtained, tenders be invited for the erection of the building. The-following accounts were passed for payment:— Martiniborough Ambulance, £5 2s; valuatioin of Land Department, £2 2s; Ocean Accident Insurance Co., £0 12s 6d. .Total, £l2 16s 6d. The meeting then adjourned.
