SCOTTISH CHURCH UNION.
The spirit of unionism is in the air, and is aifecting even the churches. The Methodist Churches of this Dominion are,uniting forces. The Presbyterian Church, which bars been split into several sections, is combining under one head in Scotland, and iis likefly to be ; known in future as the"Church of Scotland." ' The-spirit of the age is in favour of union, and, as a contemporary well says, it will be ;to the credit- of -'Scotland if she will ■ now abandon her ancient . ''religious' strifes, the occasion for which has passed away, and will.act in thespirit of the metrical PsaLm which I .say©: , !Behold how <*ood a thing,it is ' And how becoming well, Together, such as brethren are. In unity to dwell.
