MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETING. (By Telegraph—Press Association ) The monthly meeting of the Masterton District High School Committee was held last evening, there being present,— Messrs R. Brown (chairman), E. Pragnell, A. Chapman, 6. Hyde, C. Perry, A. Hendry, R. J. Thompson, L. Hughes and E. H. Waddingtoii: Mr W. H. Jackson,
j head master, was also present, j The treasurer reported a credit bal- | a nee of £32 17 s . A letter wia.s read from, the Wellington Education Board in reference to asphalting and gas arrangements in connection with itihe new Assembly Hall.— Received. The headmaster's report was read and adopted. A motion, of thanks was passed to Mrs Everett, and Messrs Booth and ©rooks tfor gifts to the school museum. A sub-committee consisting of (Messrs Brown, Thompson, Hyde and Pragnell wais appointed, to confer with the';headmaster in connection with tOie furnishing and equipment 'of the new Assembly Hall. The chairmb.il and secretary were appointed a committee to deal with the annual report. It was decided to leave the matter elf admission to the entertainment- in Connection with the opening of the Assembly Hall to the headmaster and jsub-comimit'tee.
