| BEIiTH AM —'BOLTON. A wedding in whidi a great deal of | interest wais- centred took place in Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, 011 Wednesday, when Miss Sophie Bolton, fourth daughter of Mr S. Bolton, of "Oete," Pahiatpa, was married to aVJLi N. Trc-yor B. W. Beetham, eldest sou of Sir :Nonriian Beetham, of ''Highiiiore/' Masterton. The clmrch was prettily decorated for the occasion/ and : th)e. service, which wa.s choral, was conducted by Ca-non Kecleis-. J The bride, who was given away by her father, .wore a graceful gown of ivory satin, with a beautiful old lace veil and real orange blossoms. She carried a shower .bouquet of white flowers. There "'Were three bridesmaids in attendance, the Misses L., M., and B. Bolton (sisters of the bride), all of whom Iwo re frocks. of white ni.noa over silk, trimmed with silk fringe and fringes of saxe blue, a.nd saxe (blue tagel hats, trimmed with clusters of pink and saxe blue tatin fruit. They carried beautifully shaded bouquets of rcfic-s and autumn foliage. 'Mr Ralph F. R. Beetham (Brancepeth) was best- man, and Mr Andrew S danders (Masterton) and Mr. Richard E. W. Riddiford were the groomsmen. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held at "Oete," and was attended by a large number of guests. The reception rooms were arranged with autumn foliage, cactus dahlias, and sweet .peas, and the bride j and bridegroom, received the congra't- 1 illations of their friends- standing beneath a prettily decorated archway. Mrs Bolton, the bride's mother, was wearing a gown of oyster grey satin, with 1 a fringed tunic, • trimmed with touches c£ black, and a grey velvet Hi at. Mrs Norman Beettham was in a fireen cloth costume, with Mack rev•ers, and hat en suite. Toasts were honoured and were made by Mr H. S. Wardell (Wellington), Mill. Biurnett (W'oodville), Mr ... Hindmarsh (Napier), and Mr S. Bolton. The .bridegroom's present to the bride was a pearl pendant, and to the bridesmaids he gave gold pendants and turquoise ear-rings. Mr and Mm Beetham left for the north later in the day, the bride travelling in a. tailored greyisli mauve I -costume, with a large mauve hat, trimmed with long mauve plumes.
