UNITY OF LABOUR.
A good deal of interest is centred in the Labour Conference .at present being held .in ,"Wellington, by reason of ■ the .fact that the quetstiori. of the uniting of the whole of the Labour force® of the Dominion under one political banner is. being advocated, Tho object is to establish ,a distinct Labour Piar.'ty in politics. Hitherto the force* have been very much divided. Thero are not a few wllin hope that the unity proposals will be unanimously adopted, and that tlie Labour Party will be able fo rid itself of the Li hera I incubus which haft been hanging about it if or the last twenty ye ans. ; The sooner the Labour Party becomes a separate and distinct entity the sooner will .the genuine Liberals of the country come to power.
