FATAL FIGHTS
IN PHILADELPHIA MINING DISTRICTS. (Received April 4> 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 3. Reportfe from Pihiladelphia are to the effect that a sentiment is developing amongst? the - striking miners favourable, io insistence on their demand for recognition of trade unions. If this is refused the men threaten to prolong the strike indefinitely. Several fatal fights have occurred in the mining districts. Dynamite wa& used in one instance to intimidate workers, but no one was fatally hurt.
