(ByTeltgravh — Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Last Night. ■ : The final matches in. the cricket championship were played on Saturday in beautiful weather. Three games wero played on the Basin Reserve, all being decided on the first innings. Central won the championship, with East A runners up, and South third. In the Central v. East A match, tho former made 233 and 85 for one wicket (Jackson 4.4 not out). Central put on 143, Gibbes 44, Tucker 30, and Bowles 23 being the best scorers. Bowling for Central, Robinson took seven wickets for 54 runs. South,defeated Victoria College by 160 to 114. and North beat East B by 254 (declared for nine i wickets) to 175.
