IN CENTRAL FRANCE THE INHABITANTS ALARMED. (Received Last Night, 9.20 o'clock.) PARIS, March 29. A violent earthquake has occurred in the Department cf Cbrreze, in the interior cf France. A fissure five yards wide was caused in a hillside overlooking the village of St. Solve. The railway station, was strewn with rocks, and the furniture overturned in houses, tho occupants of which .spent the niglliit out of doors in drenching rain.
