Both sheep and cattle were.of bettor quality than of late, and wfl have to report a good sale: Quotations: Good f.m. ewes, 8s Id to 10s 7d; poor sorts, 3s 9d to ss; 2, 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 10s 3d to 12s Id; 2tooth ewes, 10s to 10s 9d; b.f. lambs, 5s 6d to 8s Id; mixed cull lambs, 2s 3d to 5s Id ;2-toot'h wethers,' 12s to 13s; heifers in-calf £3 2s 6d to £3 10s; empty heifers, £2 17s;. young steers. £ib 10s to £4 125,6 d; store cows, £4 17s 6d to £5-ss; yearling steers, • £2 Is to £2 19s.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows: We had a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was good competition for sheep at slightly lower values. Cattle were dull of sale. .We made a total clearance in sheep.
