Mr Tom Mann, the Socialist agitator, under arrest for having "feloniously and maliciously published certain matter, called the Syndicalist, with .the objecb of endeavouring to seduce persons serving in His Majesty's Forces from their duty and allegiance to the King, and of inducing certain persons to traitorous and mutinous practice, contrary to the provisions of the Incitement to Mutiny Act of 1797," has been released on bail, having promised not to repeat his remarks pending his trial. There liave been a number of death s from starvation in "the potteries" district. The Mayor's fund at Grimsby, Lincolnsliire, is relieving three thousand families. One thousand children are being fed at school.
