MR BUXTON INTERVIEWED.

TIMAiBjU, Last Night. The Hon. T. Buxton has received many congratulatory messages. Interviewed, he said he accepted- office in the hope of being able usefully to serve the farming community. He mentioned especially a. reciprocal tariff with Australia nn farm products. If offered a portfolio later, he said he would prefer that of Commerce and Agriculture. M'r Buxton has been urged to accept nomination for another term as Mayor of Temuka, but declined.
