(One member of the Labour Party was, it is said, invited to join tho Mackenzie Mii.it',stry, but declined on ' the ground that the new Cabinet could not represent the Labour interests. In" vleff Of the fu<?t that three of Labour . representative-! were preseilt when the Prime Minister was elected, it can hardly he said that tho Labour Party- has not affiliated with the Liberals. No matter what opinions they may hold of the new Prime Minister', the Labourites .have deliberately thrown in their lot with him, and they must now make the best of their bargain.
