ANNUAL MEETING
A large and enthusiastic meeting of . followers of the Red Star Football J Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. -room's j last evening. The secretary, Mr J. Connelly.read the balance sheet, which showed a credit balance pi £ll Us sd. ; ■',,:. ' Mr E. Welch complimented the var- t ious players on the successful season they had experienced, and he wished them every success during- the ensuing year. Correspondence was read from the / Melrose (Wellington) Club, in reference to arranging a match for Easlter Saturday. This matter was left in the hands of the Management Committee. Mr T. G. Hoar paid a high tribute to the chairman (Mr E. Welch), who is on the eve of his departure to the Old Country. He stated that Mr Welch had always been willing to help in matters pertaining to the welfare of the Club. The officers for the ensuing year were'elected- as follows: Patron, Mr E. Welch; President, Mr W. Hope; Vice-Presidents, Messrs R. Hunt, A. Welch, B. Iveson and J. C. Ewington; General Committee, Messrs A. Ross, H. Dixon, B. Welch, A. Miller, A. Colder and K. Welch; Captain, Mr R. McKenzie; .Vice-captain, Mr F. Ball; Senior Selection Committe, A. Miller, captain and vice-captain; Delegates to Union, Welch, McKenzie, and Ward; Treasurer, Mr T. G. Hoar; Secretary, Mr It. Milne; 3rd Class captain, A. Golder; Vice-cap-tain 3rd Class team, E. Wicken:?; 3rd Class selection committee, Colder, Dixon and Wickens.
A practice will be held on the showgrounds, Ditfoai Street, next Saturday-
