SALE OF HORSES: Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held on Satxirday, the 23rd March, in their Waipoua sale yards, Ma-sterton, on'behalf of Messrs W .Strang; W. D; Watson, Jas. Strang aaid R. J. Dagg; one of. the most successful horse sales that . has I been hold in tilio district for several I years. Buyers were present from all over the district, and also from Wel- ■ lington and Palmerston, consequently bidding was 'brisk throughout the sale, and we can.report a clearance at ! the following prices:—Draught mare, £43 10s; 3-year draught gelding, £l9; half-draught mare's foals, £l4 10s to j £l4 15s; harness horses, aged, £3 15s to £2B( which Mr Watson's Jim Jim realised); unbroken light horses, 3 and 4-year-okls, £7 to £8 15s; light mares and foals, £4 12s 6d to £l4; dry brood mares, £6 to £8 10s; 4 and 5-yrs old mares and geldings, only broken to • saddle, £9, £lO, £ll 10s, £l3, to £l6 10s; 2 and'3-year old half draught nl- ) lies and geldings, £lO to £l4.
