THE YVAIRARAPA REPORTS. Reporting to tlio Agricultural Journal for tlio month of February, the officers of the Stock Department in the Wairarapa says:— Pahiatua. Stock is looking well, and settlers have told me the cows are milking well for this time of year. Tlio common trouble iu the bush district is the scarcity of winter feed. Crops have been, safely gathered in, except in a. few cases, and these will be all in by the middle of the .month. Wairarapa Coastal Districts.— The! weather has been mild—seme very warm days with and occasionally a. fair amount of wind. Pastures are all looking well. A frost during, the month cut down several maize crops, but other crops have dono exceptionally well. In several instances the oat yield was 100 bushels to the acre, and in other cases 90 ■and 81 bushels— much better than previous crops. Wheat has also done well. Several growers have obtained 60 and 70 bushels to the acre. A larpw area of .swedes are now being, sold on the stubble land. Carterton.— The weather lias been verv broken. Heavy raius have been general, except during one fine week 3u 111 middle of the month. Several light frosts, were experienced. Rabbih poisoning has been seriously delayed ill rough the rough weather. Feed is plentiful on the open country. Green maize has been checked by frost and wind. Rape and root crops are of a fair description. Oats are generally good.
