TUBERCULOSIS.
Every yea.r, tho Agricultural Department ci? New Zealand . .condemns"--' a fairly large number of- cows suffering from tuberculosis, and although' the Wairarapa is reported: to be fairly immune from- the disease, settlers are given every opportunity of having their stock examined by the officers of tlhe Stack Department. There is always the danger that there may bo an odd cow in the herd,-affected by the disease, which is sufficient to cause the infection to spread. To obviate this, settlers may have.the tuberculiu test applied, on application to the Stock Department, at the nominal cost of sixpence per head.
