THEFT OF JEWELLERY
(By Telegraph—Frets Association.) GtfSBOBiN'E, Last Night. Last evening.John McCormick entered a billiard room at Raiirroa with a case containing jewellery valued at £l5O. He- laid, it on a. seat. During the course of an argument the case disappeared. This morning Detective Mitchell and Constable Doyle arrested a man, and recovered on his person half tOie stolen property. _ The remainder was found buried in a tin in the bush. The accused will be brought before the Magistrate at G-isborne tomorrow:
