MASTERTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETINC. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Committee was held yesterday morning. There were present, —Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman), W. Fisher, D. J. Cameron, H. O'Leary, and Jas. Miller. The Treasurer reported receipts for the month amounting to £3OO 14s 4-d, and expenditure £lßl 3s lid. The medical officer (Dr Archer Hosking) attended the meeting for the purpose of conferring "with the committee in regard to the plans for the new nurse's home. The chairman reported that the In-spector-General of Hospitals (Dr Valintlue) had recently visited the Hospital in connection with this matter, and had heen accompanied on his visit by the chairman of the Hospital Board and himself. Subsequently amended, plans for the proposed new building were forwarded by Dr Vali n tine. After fully considering the matter, 'the committee unanimously approved a plan containing such modifications in detail of the original plan as will not materially increase the cost. Accounts amounting to £96 Is 5d were passed for payment. Hie estimates for the ensuing year were considered in detail, and after discussion were adopted- for presentation to the next meeting of the Wair&rapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, to be held on Wednesday, 3rd j April.
