MORE LIBERAL REGRETS. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) TAURANGA, Last Night. .'" At a meeting of .supporters of the Liberal Party held here yesterday, the following resolution was passed: — "Tliat this meeting of supporters of the Liberal party tender their hearty congratulations to Sir Joseph Ward on ■the splendid and straight-forward wn/ in which he has conducted matters, and on the victory he obtained during he late crisis, asd express sympathy in the many trying experiences to which he has lately been subjected, also the r extreme regret at his retirement from J; ho leadership of the party, and their high appreciation of the great work he has accomplished in the past in the interest of true Liberalism and the prosperity of our Dominion, and their continued confidence in him as their leader, and that at no distant date he will be persuaded to reconsider his decision and again resume the.leadershi r of the party he has served so well."

HAWERA, Last Night. At a representative gathering held here on Saturday afternoon, the following resolution was tmanimously carried:—• "That this meeting of Liberals oi Hawera and surrounding districts regrets the temporary retirement of Sir Joseph Ward from the Liberal leadership, and trusts that ho will consider the necessity of again assuming the leadership at an early date."
