A HEALTHY SOCIETY.
While Masterton has every reason to feefwoud of the achievements of the A., and P. Association, it has also abundant cause to congratulate its neighbours upon their enterprise and spirited rivalry. The Wairarapa Society, spurred on by the activity of Masterton, has made notable advances in recent years, and the enthusiasm of its members is pleasing to behold. At a meeting on Friday last it wa6 decided that, with a view to encouraging sheen, exhibits, it was desirable to cover the pens. A sum of £4OO was required for the purpose, and this amount was subscribed in debentures in the room. Other improvements are in contemplation, and the Wairarapa Society intends justifying the faith which'is in it. The Committee is deserving of warm commendation for its enterprise.
