THE "TRUE" LABOUR PARTY.
Tho Napier "Telegraph" argues that ninety per cent, of the people in this Dominion are labourers in one form or another. Consequently, the only political party which would :be truly representative of the people must be a Labour party. By the same' token, as ninety per cent, of the people, claim one form of religion 1 or another, any party which would- he truly representative of. the people Vmusfc he a Religious Party. Ninety per cent, are" meat-eaters. * And so, it must be a Meat-eating Party. One hundred per cent, indulge in sleep. Wherefor, the only true political party must be a Sleepy Party! And so on. 'lf the logic of the Namier paper be sound, then Mr Massey is more nearly representative of the. Labour Party than ~ any other leader in the House, for.he represents thirty-eight-eightieths of the people.
