There was' a good attendance, and speculation was brisk. The sum of £12,576 was passed through the totalisator, making £24,807 for the meeting, as 'compared with £21,461 for the same meeting last year. Results: —-, Omaka Hack Hurdles, 100 sovs., one mile and a half. —Seaman -1, Fond Memory 2, Merrie Lad 3. Alsostarted— Napper, Stourton, Eiya, Lamsdorff and Hinetoa. Won by a length and a half, Fond Memory just beating Merrie. Lad for second place. Time, 2min. 48 2-osees. Telegraph Hack Handicap, of. 80 sovs., six furlongs.— Thvave 1, Makara 2, Park Tide 3. MARLBOROUGH RACING CLUB. "" The Marlborough Racing Club is out with its Autumn Meeting programme for May Ist and 2nd. This go-ahead and popular club has increased its stakes Iby £2-30, and the total of the two days now amounts to £ISOO. The Marlborough Cup is now increased to £3OO, and the President's OrTandican on the second day to £2OO. The Flying Handicap is worth £.13.5, and there are five other open races o,f £IOO each. There is a hack race of £IOO the first day, and the other hack races vary from that down to £6O. An excellent programme with seven races each day should draw a large nomination from all Darts.
