ALFREDTON SPORTS

The annual meeting of the Alfredton Athletic Cli* was held on the Alfredton sports ground,'., yesterday. There was a large attendance of settlers, and visitors were present from Masterton and Eketahuna. The track was in good order, and. some excellent running was witnessed. Messrs Levin and Co.'s silver cup for moat points in running events was won by Mr J. D. Galvin, of Hamua, who carried off the 100 yds, 2:2oyds, 440 yds a-nd 120 y ds hurdles in fine style. The joint secretaries- (Messrs O.' Cross and M. R. Herbert) were untiring in their efforts to run smoothly* the manifold duties of their office. Luncheon and afternoon tea were obtainable on the ground. Following were the results: 150 Yards Maiden. —A. M. Vile
